We’re 11th out of 250 universities in Europe in the first international ranking to measure the quality of teaching across the world, the Europe Teaching Rankings.

In the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2019, we were voted top five nationally for providing the best overall student experience, with our Students’ Union voted best in the UK for the tenth year in a row.

Sheffield

Peak District
National Park

The Peak District National Park is known and loved by many for its breath-taking views, bustling market towns and pretty villages, historic houses, famous attractions and hundreds of traditional events, such as the unique Derbyshire custom of Well Dressing – see all of What’s On in the area, here!

From the high, moorland plateaus in the north, to the steep-sided, deep dales and rolling green hills in the south of the area, the Peak District & Derbyshire has just about any landscape you can imagine in Britain, making it one of the finest areas in the country to go walking. Couple the fantastic scenery with amazing local Food & Drink, the Peak District will sure enough become one of your favourite destinations!
